Ill see if I can re-create the error using other blocks and post them so you guys can experiment for yourselves. The only thing it can be is acad has a predefined sub block definition in the drawing database when the second one hits model space, ergo (I just like to say 'ergo') cannot re-fine dynamic block, acad changes it to proxy object. Then I insert the first W-block with 3 nested entities, and then the second W-block with the same 3 enities only renamed so the names don't match the first one. I inserted the first W-block with 3 nested enities, then inserted the second W-block with 3 identical nested enities. I'd re-examine your file and subDB's, not the nesting itself (at least for now)I've already run the experiment. The Civil Object Enabler allows you to open and complete work in 3D drawings that originate from AutoCAD Civil 3D. The precast dude that hangs around here uses them extensively i know, and seems to swear by them. Step 1: Download and install the Civil Option Enabler. you're the first one i've heard taht has problems with nested DB's. You can create a new version of a drawing file with all proxy AEC objects. I'll have to dissagree with you and agree with Stacey. Creates a version of an AEC file that can be opened in products such as AutoCAD.
